Are presentations allowed, and what is the preferred format? Should we hand over materials before the event or on the day of the event?

Accepted Answer

Due to the anticipated number of attendees, presentations will not be allowed. However, a cover slide will be provided to introduce you before your speech on stage.

Question 2

What is the allotted time for each speaker to present on stage?

Accepted Answer

Each speaking presentation delivered on stage must be limited to 7 minutes. Please ensure that your message is curated to fit the given time limit.

Keynotes are by invitation only.

Question 3

Does the registration cover payment for both days and all events, including the Gala dinner?

Accepted Answer

Your registration covers only the day of your scheduled speaking slot. If you wish to attend both days, please register separately for each day.

Can I register for multiple topics? What is the minimum number of topics required for each speaker?

Accepted Answer

You can register for multiple topics, please note that if you have registered for one speaking slot/topic, you have to register and pay for the additional topics.  You can register for a minimum of 1 topic and a maximum of 2 topics per day.

Am I allowed to change the topic and the schedule that I have registered for?

Accepted Answer

Please remember that changes are subject to availability. If you need to modify your topic or schedule, it is best to contact us directly. There is a deadline for making changes, and after that, modifications may not be allowed or might incur a fee.

Question 6

Why do we need to register for speaking engagements, unlike other WEF events where we speak for free?

Accepted Answer

As a non-profit organisation, the fees collected are intended to cover costs such as the venue, catering, AV support, and other logistics-related expenses.  We cannot speak on behalf of previous WEF events regarding their fees.

Question 7

Is the currency for the WEF event in Australia Australian Dollars (AUD)? Is GST included in the pricing?

As the WEF 2025 event takes place in Australia, the rates are quoted in AUD currency and include Goods and Services Tax (GST).

If I register but my visa is not approved, can you refund the registration fee?

Accepted Answer

Before registering, please ensure your visa has been approved. We can provide a letter of invitation or additional documents if needed for your visa application.

What happens if I fail to attend the event due to an emergency? Will I be able to request a refund?

WEF has a no refund/non-transferable policy. Please make sure you review the dates and your availability before you finalise your registration.

Could you please let me know if the event is hybrid and if there is an option to attend virtually?

Accepted Answer

No virtual or hybrid options are available at this time.

Question 11

Are there dietary options available, and will alcoholic drinks be served during the event?

Accepted Answer

To accommodate your dietary preferences or restrictions, please inform us in advance.

Alcohol availability varies by event type and local regulations. It may be served at corporate and academic events during networking sessions but could be restricted to health or family-friendly events.

I plan to bring along a disabled family relative who is a child. Will there be any discounts for registration?

Accepted Answer

As a non-profit organisation, we do not offer discounts at this time. Our registration rates are fixed because all participants receive the same benefits upon registration.

Question 13

What if I win an award, but due to circumstances beyond my control, I am unable to attend the gala? Will I still be able to claim the award? How?

Accepted Answer

If you win an award but are unable to attend the gala, you can still claim it at our office or have it shipped to you. Please note that a shipping fee will incur. Once you have arranged for collection or shipping, we will email you to confirm your shipping address.

Upon registration, I only received a transaction slip for my payment. Can I request a sales invoice?

Yes, you can request a sales invoice. We provide an official invoice upon request, especially for accounting or reimbursement purposes.
